Is fast food on the menu? Learn about digestive enzymes.

Still eating fast food? A lot of food today is:
·         Processed
·         Taste good but is not
·         Lasts longer (preservatives)
·         Looks fresh (food coloring and dyes)

The processing destroys the digestive enzymes in the foods. To predigest before it hits the stomach. In these days you have to buy basically all of your nutrients separately at a health food store or online. The use of digestive enzymes added to your diet breaks down your food so that your body receives all the nutrients from your food. Over time you'll be glad you added enzymes to your daily activities. You'll feel the off switch turn to on as you receive rejuvenation throughout your body as it starts the healing process.

In other words like giving your car a tune up. This is the ingredient taken from a lot of foods through processing. Give your body a tune up, it deserves it.

When your meal doesn't get fully broken down it stays in your body creating problems due to plaque build up such as,

  • Stiffness
  • Constipation
  • Upset stomach
  • Belching
  • Gas
  • Etc... But over time.

Junk food has no health benefits, may taste good but works against your well being. Fast food makes for a fast life. I’ll let this video do the explaining.

Are you on the lifestyle treadmill?

A mass majority of individuals wake up every morning and:
·         wash up.
·         Eat breakfast
·         Go to work
·         Eat lunch
·         Come home
·         Eat dinner
·         Later on consume misc…beer, pop, chips, etc…
·         Go to sleep

And then back to the beginning.  People seem to consistently find themselves on a tread mill. Throughout the process we don’t pay attention to the quality of what we they put inside their bodies. If it taste good or make you feel good, usually it’s not good for you.

All that we don’t pay attention to could be hurting us, but it’s so slow a process that we won’t acknowledge it until we fall sick. And also even when sick we tend to say “That’s not the problem”, when deep inside our thoughts you know it’s at least part of the problem if not all of it.

What’s wrong with what we put in our bodies? Take a look at this video showing some top notch information.

Rejuvenate your cells from the inside out.

Health Benefits of Yoga and Meditation

Both yoga and meditation have been around for thousands of years. To understand their connection, it helps to understand what each one is individually.

Yoga is a spiritual Hindu practice that incorporates breath, a simple form of meditation and physical incorporation of the body to bring the mind and body together, creating harmony. First introduced to the west in the early 1900's, by mid century, yoga has grown exponentially in popularity and has continued to grow over the last few decades.

Meditation is best described as a training of the mind to reach different levels of consciousness and awareness. These levels of consciousness can include access to parts of the brain that control imagination, creativity, memory and more. Through meditation, these characteristics can be explored and possibly enhanced through practice.

The health benefits of yoga and meditation seem to go hand in hand, but let's break the two down, anyway.
Health benefits of meditation

  • Blood pressure- Studies have shown the ability of meditation to lower blood pressure and in some cases, reverse the effects of heart disease.

  • Pain management- Meditation has been used to treat chronic and substance abuse withdrawal pains effectively. The results have been impressive; patients report feeling less discomfort when meditation has been introduced.

  • Stress and anxiety- If anyone has ever gotten overwhelmed with stress, took a moment, stopped and took a deep breath to recollect has witnessed the ability of meditation to reduce stress. Meditations number one benefit is the ability to relax, fighting off stress and anxiety.

  • Sleep- Meditation continues to be explored and implemented for its effectiveness for insomnia. Many times insomnia is caused by our inability to slow the mind down, whereas meditations greatest gift is the ability to do so.
Health benefits of yoga
Not only can yoga help with high blood pressure, pain management, stress, anxiety and sleep, but can also benefit the body more directly:
  • Core strength- Yoga can develop and nurture a strong core strength through its poses and stamina required to maintain those poses.

  • Posture- The simple act of lifting your chin when walking can have profound effects on posture. The poses present in yoga are embedded with improvements for posture, while developing the core strength can help maintain good posture out of the classroom.

  • Balance- The very nature of yoga and its form of exercise helps develop and maintain physical balance, but also fosters an emotional balance for the mind.
The benefits of meditation almost seem inherent to that of yoga, considering meditation is an integral part of the yoga practice. Some benefits are exclusive to yoga because of the physical qualities involved, but both are highly effective in bettering our health.

What’s wrong with what we put in our bodies?

     First of all, let me start with the foods we purchase. We tend to go to the best values so you can save money. Clip those coupons, buy one get one free. You got the fridge packed.  The voice comes in your head, you know, the alter ego that says “Go get some;
·         beer,
·         cigarettes
·         candy
·         etc…
You get your fix and you feel good. If you relate a “fix” to drugs, you are right. It’s bad for you illegal and legal. Some seem harmless such as;
·         The preservatives and certain ingredients added to our food.
·         The additives to the drinking water from the faucet.
·         The sugar in the sweets we eat. (Sorry, um hooked on chocolate.)
·         Etc…
A lot of stuff we put in our bodies throughout the day with no nutrition.
Some ingredients added to our food and beverages are nothing but drugs if they were in their raw form. Look at the  ingredients, some you can’t even pronounce.
Ex; Zethozanthanoid phosphate, Rhibitosis diglutimate, etc…
(Don’t try to look these so called ingredients up because they’re made up and just examples of the word play on some ingredients.)
If some of these substances used their common name on the list of ingredients, then you probably wouldn’t buy it.
